Stephen Harlow ChFC
Steve Harlow, a graduate of Lewiston High School, earned both his Bachelor's and Master’s degrees from the University of Maine in Orono. During his time at UMaine, he was an Academic All-American and a key player on the 1974 Yankee Conference Football Champions team.
In 1979, Steve joined Acadia University in Canada as a player/coach, helping lead the team to win the Vanier Cup, Canada’s National Collegiate Football Championship.
Steve has taught and coached at various institutions including the University of Maine, Acadia University, Maine Maritime Academy, and local high schools. After 15 years in education, he transitioned to the financial services industry in 1990, founding Harlow Financial Associates in Eliot, Maine.
Steve's teaching background helps clients feel at ease while he educates them on personal finance, focusing on the four phases of retirement planning: asset accumulation, pre-retirement planning, lifetime income distribution, and tax-efficient asset transfer.
Steve holds the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designations. He is actively involved in the community, participating in organizations such as the Financial Services Institute, Biddeford-Saco Chamber of Commerce, Biddeford-Saco Elks Lodge, Saco River Corridor Commission, Waterboro Parks and Recreation Committee, and serves as the Town of Waterboro Youth Program Director.
